Many parts of WPSU's coverage area boast fine musical artists who work very hard on their talent. Allegheny Sounds offers listeners a chance to hear musicians they otherwise might not have an opportunity to experience, due to the rural nature of WPSU's coverage area.

The 2004 series featured musicians from Altoona, Bradford, Dubois, Huntingdon, Lock Haven, Olean, NY, State College and Williamsport. Each program featured conversation and music that highlighted these talented musicians.

The 2006 series features musicians from Clarion, State College, Williamsport, and Olean, NY. Each program features conversation and music that highlights these talented musicians.
