Description: Penn State Public Media is searching for a Videographer/Editor with Motion Graphic design experience and a sports production background to join our growing team. You will work as a part of a creative unit with high profile college sports teams on video productions for television, web, social media, and venue playback. We are seeking someone with the ability to shoot live sporting events with single camera coverage and a documentary “all-access” style. You should have a passion for sports and possess documentary shooting and editing techniques. We acquire footage in various professional formats and edit in Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro. Demonstrated graphic design sensibility, Photoshop and After Effects experience are required. Organizational skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively are also required, as is flexibility to work many non-traditional hours and travel as needed. Experience with steadicam and jib are preferred but not required. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding. This is a 75% full-time equivalency (FTE) job. This position will work August 1 - April 30th each fiscal year for which it is funded. Full Penn State benefits included. Description: Outreach’s Penn State Public Media seeks a Web Developer to produce websites and media solutions to meet the needs of internal and external clients. We are looking for a backend web developer familiar with PHP, JQuery and CMS development (Expression Engine and Drupal) to become part of our new media team. As part of our team of web designers, videographers, instructional designers and project developers/managers, this position will work closely with media and content experts to create educational websites; sports and fan sites; web-native documentaries and supporting sites; and infographics, charts, maps and interactives. Required skills include advanced understanding of PHP and experience building and maintaining content management platforms. Typical work activities include, but are not limited to: creation of templates and prototypes of webpages; planning information architecture for websites; managing multimedia component design and integration; writing code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript; managing the maintenance of websites; technology consulting; and frontend development. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical, judgment, communication and organizational skills; the ability to lead and/or collaborate on cross-functional project teams with minimal supervision as well as work effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
