Blue in the FACE’s winter concert was an unforgettable experience. After watching the show, it was easy to see how this newly established a’cappella group acquired its name. From start to finish, the twenty-four talented members of Blue in the FACE sang their hearts out until they were literally blue in the face.

PSU SNATS Review

The Penn State University Student Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singers’ (PSU SNATS) jazz performance was an uncommon show for Penn State’s musical scene. Unlike most concerts that take place at local bars or at large venues, PSU SNAT’s performance last Tuesday night was held at a small café, Abba Java Coffee House, located on the corner of Locust and Calder Street.

PSU SNATS Presents Jazz Cabaret: Nov. 17th

If you’re a jazz enthusiast, or just really enjoy sipping coffee while listening to soothing music, you need to check out the newest jazz scene to hit Penn State. The Penn State Student chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, also known as PSU SNATS, will be performing a sultry jazz show on Tuesday, November 17th.

Sound Garden Review

Held at the newly renovated Arboretum, the first ever Sound Garden showcased the verdant landscape of Central PA, while presenting a medley of music from local State College acts. The performances included banjo playing by Mark Blashford, a violin and piano duet by Matt Weaver and Adam Jacobs, and a rock cover band called Under the Radar.

Third Eye Blind: Review

Third Eye Blind’s sold out concert at the State Theatre Monday night left fans craving more after their spectacular performance. The band never failed to keep fans on their toes. With a nearly blinding light show as their backdrop, the musicians of Third Eye Blind opened the show by playing rhythms that showcased each of their musical talents. Adding to the intensity of the moment was a tribal dancer on top of an elevated platform, throwing out glow sticks to the enthralled crowd.

Third Eye Blind: Preview

Third Eye Blind will be taking the stage of the State Theatre on Monday, October 12th at 8:00pm.
It’s easy to think of Third Eye Blind as one of those 90s new-wave rock bands with a few hit songs that went away, but Third Eye Blind is so much more than a couple of radio hits.

Rusted Root at the State Theatre Review

Rusted Root’s performance at the State Theatre on Sept. 21st was a fresh and invigorating experience. As soon as the six band members from Pittsburgh stepped foot on stage, the audience erupted. The feeling of pure excitement and anticipation filled the room as the chant of “Rusted Root” filled the room. There were people dancing and jumping before Rusted Root even began to play.

Steve Moakler Show Review

Steve Moakler left fans of all ages wanting more of his music when he performed at the Penn State HUB-Robeson Center on Friday September 18th. Moakler and his two bandmates performed as part of the SPA noontime concert series, which features artists from around the country every Friday at noon on the first floor of the HUB. Moakler drew one of the largest crowds for any the shows in this series. There were students waiting an hour before the concert started, squeezing in at any possible space.
