Talain Rayne to Perform at SPA Noontime Concert Series, Friday, 10/14

Alternative/electronica musician Talain Rayne is scheduled to perform at Friday’s noontime concert at the HUB’s first floor lounge as part of Penn State’s Student Programming Association’s (SPA) Noontime Concert Series. If I were you, I definitely wouldn’t miss it.
I first saw Talain Rayne perform at a noontime concert last spring, and pretty much fell in love with his work. His music incorporates a mix of upbeat alternative songs and slower electronica beats. Talain has great stage presence and knows how to engage an audience, but one of my favorite parts of his performance is his storytelling. Most of his songs stem from a personal experience that he shares with the audience to introduce a song. This really helped me connect to the show and realize that Talain isn’t just a talented musical artist, but a person who has a dynamic compassion for people.
Taintedcanvas.comperfectly describes Talain’s musical style with these reviews:
“Talain’s music makes you want to get up and dance, yet there is incredible depth behind his lyrics. The sounds are infectious and should be featured on the next iPod commercial.”
“If Coldplay went indie instead of mainstream, this is what it would sound like.”
I strongly recommend checking out the show. You won’t be disappointed. For a preview, listen to my favorite Talain song, “Family Wall.”
