With the addition of two minor league baseball teams, the Altoona Curve and the State College Spikes, a new dimension has been added to the summer entertainment landscape. “The Hometown Double Play,” will chronicle the Curve and Spikes, providing insight into what makes minor league baseball important to central Pennsylvania.
Steve Jones hosts this ongoing summer series with compelling stories of the players and the summer events attended by friends and families cheering their hometown teams.
“It is about more than baseball. We want fans to experience the summer pastime through the eyes of players, management and especially the community,” said host Steve Jones. “Our goal is to find what makes minor league baseball the region's best summer entertainment.”
