Welcome to the iWonder Series

     Students of all ages are naturally curious about the world around them.  Our iWonder Series takes elementary school (K-6) children on an exploration of their world, focusing specifically on the environment.  Lesson plans and multimedia materials found here help teachers to guide students through exploring their world, and to address Pennsylvania state academic standards.

     The lesson plan series is an outgrowth of a popular segment called, “Outside” that is featured on WPSU’s news and issues show, Pennsylvania Inside Out.  Our “Outside” segments feature faculty and staff at Penn State’s Shaver's Creek Environmental Center.  Shaver’s Creek strives to be an exemplary environmental education and training center known for quality experiential programs that enable people to learn how to live and interact harmoniously and sustainably with each other and the natural world.
