WPSU to Bring Digital Media to Pennsylvania Classrooms
Posted by Emily Wiley on 03/23 at 12:01 AM
WPSU formally announced yesterday its partnership with PBS and the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to bring digital media to preK-12 classrooms.
WPSU will design customized digital learning objects based on the Standards Aligned System (SAS) created by PDE. The collection will be accessed through the new Digital Learning Library (DLL) hosted by PBS.
“WPSU has access to some of the world’s leading faculty and the latest discoveries in a variety of fields. We translate their work into relevant, applicable materials for the classroom that captures students’ attention and inspires learning by partnering with practicing classroom teachers who understand kids, the curriculum, and the academic standards,” said Ted Krichels, general manager of Penn State Public Broadcasting, yesterday.
