In The Attic: Koji and Like Wild Acoustic Set and Open Mic

On February 25th, the upper lobby of the State Theatre will be filled with the sounds of acoustic guitars and original music. Local artist Koji and Lancaster-based singer/songwriter Like Wild (Patrick Hatt) will play following an open mic. The event, hosted by The Asylum, will be in an intimate setting, allowing local musicians the opportunity to showcase their talent.

Like Wild plays feel-good, warm acoustic songs perfect for the end of February. Hatt, who plays mostly in the Lancaster area, will begin working on an EP in the next month. Although he only has two demo songs posted on the web, his sweet voice makes for a promising folk/alt-country set. Check out his demos, “Can You Hear?” and “Somethin’ Kinda Strange” on his Myspace.

Andrew ‘Koji’ Shiraki is a musician and activist who promotes the arts and is a founding member of the multi-disciplinary organization Colormake. His music is richly melodic and introspective, always laid-back and often acoustic. Koji is currently touring across the eastern US and has performed with national acts in the past (this week he’s playing with pop-punk group Punchline, for example).
