Author Kirk Nesset Reading

Book Readings

As part of LHU’s Pennsylvania Authors’ and UpWrite reading series, fiction writer, poet, translator, and literary scholar Kirk Nesset will read selections from his work and discuss writing in several genres on Wednesday, February 24th, at 7:00 pm in the multipurpose room of the Parsons Union Building at Lock Haven University. A professor at Allegheny College, Nesset has published The Stories of Raymond Carver: A Critical Study (Ohio University Press) and two collections of short stories: Paradise Road, winner of the Drue Heinz literature prize (University of Pittsburgh Press) and Mr. Agreeable (Mammoth Press). Forthcoming are his poetry book, Saint X (Lewis Clark Press), and his book of translations, Alphabet of the World: Selected Works by Eugene Montejo (University of Oklahoma Press). The reading is free and open to the public.  Books will be available for purchase and signing.  In addition to the evening performance, Nesset will be visiting classes and meeting with student groups.
