Community Breakfast Discussion: How do we fix our healthcare problems?

Representatives of the physician, nursing and pharmacy professions (Richard Dixon, MD; Sharon Falkenstern, School of Nursing, PSU and Steve Krahling, co-owner of Penns Valley Pharmacy will present a 5-7 minute sharing with us of their concerns and ideas about their professions and then Chris Calkins, Director of Penn State Outreach Health Initiatives, and Sajay Samuel, Professor of Accounting and STS, Smeal College of Business will join the presenters for a question and answer session with attendees.  We are inviting our state legislators to also be our guests as state healthcare legislation is now pending in PA State and House Committees.

Sponsors: The event will be co-sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Centre County (Social Action Committee) and Voices of Central PA (local independent newspaper).  Suzan Erem, Managing Editor of Voices of Central PA, will be moderator.

There will be a healthful buffet breakfast at 8:30AM (coffee. tea, yogurt. granola, fruit, bagel, cream cheese, juice and bakery items).

The cost is $10 and reservations may be made by sending a check payable to UUFCC to Brenda Black, 143 Cedar Ridge Drive, Port Matilda, PA 16870.  Please clearly indicate attendee’s name.  OR use PayPal and your credit card to reserve your seat by visiting the Voices website
