West African Cooking Class

Classes/Workshops

6-9:30 p.m.

Includes introductory illustrated lecture followed by preparation and enjoyment of classic dishes and beverages: bissap (hibiscus iced tea), beef chichinga (West African kebab with a spicy rub), ginger beer, green plantain chips, palaver sauce with yam, groundnut (peanut) soup and omo tuo (rice balls), tropical fruit salad with coconut and “twisted cakes” (atwemo). NOTE: if you have a peanut allergy, this may not be a good choice.
