Perhaps nothing evokes more universal disgust than child pornography, which is recognized as abhorrent in nearly every community in the world. Philip Jenkins, distinguished professor of history and religious studies at Penn State, says the advent of the Internet has made the trade in child pornography a truly global crime. His book, Beyond Tolerance: Child Pornography on the Internet, is published by New York University Press.
