15 Minutes: Heat Stress

Many high school athletes begin training for the coming football season during the peak of summer’s heat and humidity. Since 1995, sports scientists have seen a dramatic increase in the number of heat-related deaths, especially during the first days of practice. Is there a relationship between football uniforms and heat stress?
