Peter Herdic is a man whose vision and accomplishments still help define Williamsport. In an effort to reduce reliance on foreign oil, Penn State scientist Harold Schobert, Penn State’s Energy Institute, is working on a method to convert coal into jet fuel. Matt Kaplan,Ph.D., assoc. professor of Agricultural and Extension Education, suggests how families can bridge the physical and psychological distance between generations and reconnect.
