Take Note: Samurai Legends and Lives

The new blockbuster movie The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise has renewed our interest in the Samurai and Japanese culture.  Who were these legendary warriors and what does their code known as the "Way of the Warrior" really mean? Douglas Stiffler, Ph.D., is professor of Asian History in the Department of History in Juniata College. He teaches a course called Samurai Lives and Legends.
