Take Note: The Search for Diamonds, Part 1

Take Note: The Search for Diamonds, Part 1

In the late 1970s, two ultra-tough Canadian geologists set out on what became a twenty-year quest to find a North American diamond mine.  They searched all the way from the backwoods of Arkansas, up the glaciated Rockies, into the vast barren lands of Canada.  They outwit, outlast and survive to discover Etaki, one of world's greatest diamond mines. Kevin Krajick is a prize-winning journalist who writes for Newsweek, National Geographic, and Discover magazines. His book, Barren Lands: An Epic Search for Diamonds, is published by Henry Holt of New York.
