WPSU-TV's Shared Stories Project
WPSU-FM's Oral History Series
WPSU-FM profiles local residents from across the 13-county listening area who either served in World War II or were civilians affected by the war.
Highlights include discussions with a veteran who escaped Nazi capture three times, a female cryptographer who worked on top-secret documents, a witness to the ceremony in which Japan surrendered on board the battleship Missouri, and a "flying sergeant" who helped train the Tuskegee Airmen—America's first black pilots.
