Joining President Spanier by phone from Washington will be William McLucas, former Director of Enforcement for the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. McLucas, a partner in the Washington law firm of Wilmer, Cutler and Pickering, was recently retained by both Enron and WorldCom to conduct internal investigations of their financial irregularities. In 1997, he was named one of the National Law Journal's One-Hundred Most Influential Attorneys in America. He is a 1972 graduate of Penn State.

Two veterans of the stage will join Dr. Spanier to discuss Broadway's graying crowds, costly tickets and preference for revivals as well as the way these trends play out regionally and locally. Dan Carter is an actor, director, fight choreographer, stage manager, and producer in addition to being Director of the School of Theatre at Penn State and Producing Artistic Director of Pennsylvania Center Stage. Spence Ford, currently Dance Instructor for the Musical Theatre program at Penn State, has performed on Broadway in Peter Pan, Copperfield, La Cage Aux Folles and many other productions, has toured the USA in Cats and was featured in Dancin' in London.

Domestic Violence
Joining Dr. Spanier will be Anne Ard, Director of the Centre County Women's Resource Center and Michael Johnson, Penn State Associate Professor of Sociology and Women's Studies. This call-in will look at causes of spouse abuse, including low self-esteem, misplaced anger, abuse of phsyical power, lack of self-control, aggressive personality, drugs, alcohol, and general frustration. Drs. Ard and Johnson will also suggest remedies for victims of spouse abuse.
