General Information:

Penn State President Graham Spanier’s monthly call-in began as a radio broadcast in 1996. In its fifth year of production, "To the Best of My Knowledge" now reaches viewers and Web users as well as listeners. Each show is available on WPSU-FM (91.5, 106.7, 95.1, 90.1, 100.9 and 104.7), WPSX-TV and on the Internet (www.psu.edu).

studio imageThe show’s early focus on higher education issues has broadened to include a variety of topics of local and national interest. Dr. Spanier and his guests have looked at hate crime, the influence of the media, medical malpractice, and genetic engineering as well as lighter topics such as the cultural impact of "Star Wars," talk TV, manners and etiquette, and extreme sports. Guests have included senators, an admiral, the head of a movie studio, editors and reporters for The New York Times and CNN, and dozens of Penn State faculty and staff.

But the real "stars" of the show are the ones who call or write during the hour-long broadcast each month. "To the Best of My Knowledge" belongs to its listeners, viewers and Net users. Your calls to 800.543.8242 and email to response@psu.edu are more than welcome.
