Biography:

Lou RadkowskiLou Radkowski is dedicated to helping families improve their quality of life and ensuring all individuals have access to educational and economic benefits. He supports investment in technology to enhance education and infrastructure and recognizes the need to maintain the natural beauty of the 5th District.

For twenty years Radkowski has served as Elk County Coroner and is the current president of the Pennsylvania State Coroners Association. He is owner and operator of Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home in Saint Marys.

Radkowski and his wife have six children and three grandchildren.

Even if some scientists claim the debate on climate change is not settled, Congress should reduce emissions with alternative energy sources, hybrid motor vehicles, clean coal and nuclear energy.

Energy Independence

Congress should support alternative energy research, such as clean-coal and ethanol projects, and also promote nuclear power and conservation.

No Child Left Behind

I agree with the law’s goals, but not with its “one-size-fits-all” approach to education that overemphasizes testing and doesn't provide enough money to schools to achieve success. The law should be modified.

Transportation Funding

Re-allocating the money in the State Motor License Fund currently earmarked for the state police to fund road and bridge repairs. The state police funding would come from the state’s General Fund instead.
