Biography:

Jeff StroehmannJeff Stroehmann believes in creating and retaining family-sustaining jobs. He is also a strong proponent of securing our nation’s borders. The conservative Republican sees a great need to re-embrace our Constitution.

Stroehmann is vice-president of Moran Industries and owner of Stroehmann Earthworking Services. He has served as Lycoming County Republican Committee Chairman, second lieutenant and president of the Woodward Township Volunteer Fire Company, and board member of Lycoming County Red Cross.

Stroehmann, an avid sportsman supports the right to own and bear arms.

Even if some scientists claim the debate on climate change is not settled, Congress should reduce emissions with alternative energy sources, hybrid motor vehicles, clean coal and nuclear energy.

Energy Independence

Congress should provide incentives to support sustainable energy businesses and research, as well as the personal adoption of energy-saving products and practices.

No Child Left Behind

I agree with the law’s goals, but not with its “one-size-fits-all” approach to education that overemphasizes testing and doesn't provide enough money to schools to achieve success. The law should be modified.

Transportation Funding

Privatize the failing mass transit systems in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
